Chewie’s okay, but the Swamp Bitches beware!

Chewie is doing okay! He is home and doped up right now. He was crying a bit at first, and I haven’t tortured him yet to look at the stitches, but I will…...In the mean time, check out these pugs fight the swamp bitches.

Say goodbye to Chewie’s boys!!!! Today he is at the vet being neutered. It was a hard decision for me to make, and I thank everyone who offered advice. Finally when it came down to it, I saw a relief vet who did a prostate exam. Ehy this was never done before I don’t know. Chewie’s prostate was only slightly enlarged, which was good and bad. Good only slightly, bad at all. I spoke with the vet and we decided I had about a 6 month window in which to neuter Chewie before the prostate started growing. And while that may never amount to much, it could cause him some discomfort in his later years.
When I bought Chewie form the window in the pet store (that’s strike 2—intact pet store dog!!!!) I took him to the vet who had placed him for sale. See not so bad, this was not your average pet store, no puppy mill dog for me. I did my research. I asked the vet about fixing chewie, and he said, “Let him keep his boys!” Chewie’s name was originally David by the way! Those days at West Village Vet made Chewie love the vet visits, and I am sad that his one is so terrible.
This is Chewie’s first surgery, and since he is a pug and so old, I am quite worried!!! I hope all goes well! I have my fingers crossed!!!!! I lov emy chewie baby!
